Fight Cancer With Broccoli Sprouts

Fight Cancer With Broccoli Sprouts
By Jeannie Crabtree

Mom was right to insist on us eating our vegetables. She knew they built health and gave us the minerals we need.

Take Broccoli sprouts. Broccoli sprouts are rich in a compound that provides significant protection against breast cancer and colon cancer. The compound is called sulforaphane glucosinalate.

Sprouts grown from certain types of broccoli seeds contain up to 50 times more of this compound than mature broccoli.

I have read that a brand of sprouts developed at John Hopkins University is guaranteed to have 20 more times the SGS compound than the mature broccoli. This one is called BroccoSprouts.

You can purchase broccoli sprouts at your local health food store or grocery store.

It is possible that Broccoli sprouts could carry the
bacteria that make you sick - salmonella and e.coli, so you may want to take them out of the container when you get them home and soak in a bowl of water with a few drops of grapefruit seed extract for three or four minutes.

Don't put the sprouts back in the same container unless you soak that as well. After draining them for a few minutes store them in the refrigerator.

With Breast cancer and Colon cancer so common these days, be sure to add in this protective food, assisting your body to fight off illness and cancer.

So, Where is the Greener Grass?

Twenty years ago when I left the Ireland, known as the Emerald Isle, I was looking for the place where the grass is greener. We all know that faraway hills are green, and back then I was searching for my greener pastures so I looked faraway.

With a few detours, I arrived in Australia; the Sunburnt country, dry, arid and drought ridden, looking for prosperity. I was looking for the good life of opportunity, beaches, yachts and barbeques.

When I had left Ireland, in the days before Viagra and computer chips were the national exports. Before the Celtic Tiger and double digit economic growth, Ireland's significant exports were its most highly educated and talented doctors scientists, engineers, artists and writers.

There weren't many greener pastures in Ireland back in the early 80's, before the Northern Irish Peace initiative and its attendant changes when Guinness was still marketed as the drink of choice of old men in the darkest corners of dark pubs....

Songs That Will Never Win A Grammy

(ContentDesk) July 6, 2005 -- The very unknown, very unpopular and very uncommercial RockPopJazzClassical group "the primeTime sublime Community Orchestra" (pTsCO) wants to be famous. They've tried everything: dressed up in weird costumes, smashed their violins on stage, dated famous actresses and even appeared in a sex video.
After 2 minor selling albums and performances in empty concert halls around the world, the pTsCO have released their 3rd CD "Songs That Will Never Win A Grammy". The album is sure to be ignored by The New York Times and all the other major publications, radio and media outlets.Utilizing the latest voice synthesis technology developed by AT&T and the Yamaha Corporation, all of the songs on the new CD are sung by a computer. "Songs That Will Never Win A Grammy" is an eclectic mix of pop songs and soundbites with contributions by Richard Nixon, Hillary Clinton, both George Bushes, and other celebrities.

From the majestic opening of "Curb Your God"...

Don?t Pull Up The Seeds When You?ve Just Sown Them

Why is it that 95% of people who set themselves goals fail to reach them? In one word: impatience.

The most important and difficult stage of goal-building is the immediate stage after you set your goals. In the first stage, there's a brief blip of euphoria. But this soon passes and then you hit the arid plateau of learning. It's in this phase that most people lose their way and give up.

But this is the phase when you have to hang in there despite appearances. Otherwise, it's like digging up the seeds a week after sowing them.

So, here, for those who need a roadmap through the arid plains of goal-building, is a 6-step guide to managing your impatience and keeping your plans on track.

1. Have Plenty of Motivation Reminders. One of the cruel tricks that life plays on us is to make goal-setting easy and goal-building hard. This is no more true than in the opening phases of working towards a new goal. When we choose a new goal that...
